Rockbuster Stealth Market & Revenue Analysis

As Rockbuster Stealth prepared to pivot into the online video rental space, I conducted a data-driven analysis to inform their digital strategy and highlight opportunities to compete with streaming giants like Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Using PostgreSQL, I queried the company’s relational database to answer key business questions, including:
• Which movies generated the highest and lowest revenue?
• What was the average rental duration across the catalog?
• Where are customers located, and how does location relate to customer lifetime value?
• Do sales patterns differ significantly across geographic regions?

I cleaned and joined multiple tables using subqueries and common table expressions, summarized key metrics in Excel, and created visuals in Tableau to communicate insights to business stakeholders. My recommendations focused on identifying high-performing titles, understanding regional demand, and targeting high-value customer segments.
